Vila Nova Vinho Verde 2022

Notes from the Winemaker:
Vila Nova is a Vinho Verde DOC elaborated with some of the well-known and recognized grape varieties of the Vinhos Verdes region: Loureiro and Fernão Pires.

Loureiro is a grape variety grown in almost the whole region of Vinhos Verdes and best suited to coastal areas which originates wines of citrus color, a fine, elegant aroma, ranging from fruity citrus to floral and molasses, with a fruity flavor with slight acidity, fresh, harmonious, full-bodied and persistent.

The variety Fernão Pires is grown throughout Portugal, especially in the Tejo and Bairrada, where it is also known as "Maria Gomes". This variety is known to produce wines with a spicy aromatic character, though often with delicate exotic fruity notes.

Tasting Notes:

Pale yellow in color, the nose is refreshing with aromas of citrus, peach and tropical fruit. A streak of minerality runs through the palate, making for a bracing wine, balanced with acidity and freshness. This carries through to a stunning finish.
